Armando Lao

Armando "Bing" Lao was a five-time Gawad Urian-winning screenwriter and collaborator of Filipino directors Brillante Mendoza (Kinatay, Serbis), Chito Roño (La Vida Rosa, Itanong mo sa Buwan), and Jeffrey Jeturian (Tuhog, The Bet Collector). He also directed Biyaheng Lupa and Dukit. He founded the Found Story School of Filmmaking. In 2026, he was posthumously named a National Artist of the Philippines for Film and Broadcast Arts.
