Paul van Gorcum

Paul Hubertus Otto van Gorcum (Frankfurt am Main, 3 March 1934 – Oegstgeest, 20 November 2025) was a German-born Dutch (voice) actor and director who became primarily known for his role as Baron Van Neemweggen in Bassie en Adriaan and for providing the voice of Gargamel in The Smurfs. His surname was originally De Heiden, but was later officially changed to Van Gorcum.
