Benjamin Cabral

Benjamin Cabral is a Mexican cinematographer and director of photography based in Oaxaca City. A graduate of the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos, he works across documentary, fiction, advertising, music videos, and international productions throughout Mexico. His cinematography credits include Lito, Yo soy la Reyna, Oaxaca Belongs to Us (Quiero morir en esta casa), and They Came From the Clouds (Ellas Vinieron de Las Nubes). His work on Oaxaca Belongs to Us was supported by Mexico’s FOCINE program. Cabral has extensive experience working on location in Oaxaca and has collaborated with international crews and productions from Canada and the United Kingdom. His practice encompasses cinematography, camera operation, and drone photography, and he works in Spanish, English, and French.
