Rajeev Ravi (born February 15, 1973) is an Indian cinematographer, director, and producer known for his contributions to both Malayalam and Hindi cinema. He began his career as a cinematographer, gaining recognition for his realistic and naturalistic style, which often uses natural light and minimalistic setups to create a raw, authentic look. Rajeev Ravi is best known for his collaborations with director Anurag Kashyap in Bollywood films like Dev.D (2009) and Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), which helped redefine the visual storytelling style in Indian cinema. His work in films like Chandni Bar (2001) and Liar’s Dice (2013) further showcased his ability to capture complex human emotions and stark realities.
