For several months after Hitler became chancellor in 1933, the Austrian polemist Karl Kraus denounced the horrors of the Nazi apparatus in a 360-page text. He particularly attacked the press, which he held responsible for the emergence of National Socialism. His text was a cry that no one wanted to hear at that time. Karl Kraus died in 1936. Did anyone hear him?
