From Shakespeare to Molière, from Charlie Chaplin to Sarah Bernhardt, via Gainsbourg, Colette, Michel Serrault and the Drag Queens, it is the story of a figure who gradually exceeded his status as an outcast to become a source of 'inspiration'.
