"Imaginary Zoo" is a video art/essay that reimagines Santiago’s Metropolitan Zoo as a space of fiction and reflection. Through a dialogue with artificial intelligence, it explores animal captivity, human control over machines, and the interplay between the physical and the virtual. As part of the author's doctoral research, it questions data-generated visual representation and reflects on the “self” as an observer. Inspired by Gilbert Simondon, the project invites us to rethink our relationships with living beings and emerging technologies, challenging notions of freedom, perception, and our place in a mediated world.
