Derived from Claudia Rankine’s »Citizen: An American Lyric«, through a brief encounter on public transit, the film attends to how bodies negotiate space, proximity, and visibility in everyday life. Eschewing narrative in favor of a visual-poetic form, it reveals how ordinary gestures carry the weight of racialized social codes. The act of »making room« becomes a quiet but charged reflection on belonging, access, and the politics of presence in shared civic space.
