This spring, 87-year-old Kim Jong-hak, renowned as the "Flower of Seoraksan Mountain" artist, unveiled his latest exhibition, People Are Flowers, at Hyundai Hwarang gallery. While the exhibition is new, the master artist's view of the essence of flowers and humans remains unchanged. Next April, he will present a major exhibition at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, USA. In an era dominated by monochromatic Korean contemporary artists like Lee Ufan and Park Seo-bo, a question arises: Why are the world's leading galleries captivated by Kim Jong-hak's vibrant depictions of flowers and nature?
